TARGET: CSIR NET / DBT JRF – Life Sc.+ Biotechnology DECEMBER 2026 EXAMINATION

Catalyst Centre of Excellence presents its Online Test Series for CSIR NET/JRF Life Sciences and DBT JRF Life Sciences & Biotechnology, designed according to the updated syllabus and examination pattern.Our test series aims to help aspirants strengthen their concepts, practise exam-oriented questions, and improve their overall performance through systematic assessment.

2. MODE OF TEST

All tests will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will be conducted online.

The test series consists of three categories:

1. General Aptitude Tests (Part A)
2. Unit Tests (Unit-wise preparation)
3. Holistic Mock Tests (Full-length CSIR NET pattern)

Total number of tests: 18

3. TEST SERIES STRUCTURE

A. General Aptitude Tests (Part A)

These tests focus on general aptitude, logical reasoning, numerical ability, and analytical skills relevant to Part A.

B. Unit Tests

Each Unit Test will focus on the designated subject area and will include questions designed to assess conceptual understanding, application, and analytical ability.

2. Unit Test 2 – Cell Biology
3. Unit Test 3 – Molecular Biology
4. Unit Test 4 – Developmental Biology
5. Unit Test 5 – Plant Physiology
6. Unit Test 6 – Animal Physiology
7. Unit Test 7 – Genetics
8. Unit Test 8 – Diversity, Evolution and Behaviour
9. Unit Test 9 – Ecology
10. Unit Test 10 – Advances in Biotechnology and Methods in Biology
11. Unit Test 11 – Bioinformatics Bioprocess Immunology

The unit-wise coverage will follow the updated syllabus. The exact topics included in each test will be specified in the test series.

Students can attempt General Aptitude Tests and Unit Tests at their convenience within the availability period.

C. Holistic Mock Tests (Full-Length CSIR NET DBT Pattern)

Each Holistic Mock Test will simulate the CSIR NET examination pattern and help students evaluate their preparation under full-length examination conditions.

Students must attempt the prescribed number of questions in each section, following the examination pattern.

Negative Marking: A penalty of 25% of the marks allotted to a question will apply for every incorrect answer, as specified for this test series.

4. TEST AVAILABILITY AND SCHEDULE

General Aptitude Tests and Unit Tests

• Availability begins: 15 October 2026
• Last date to attempt: 20 December 2026
• Students can attempt these tests at their convenience during the specified period.
• Students are encouraged to complete the tests progressively rather than postponing them until the final days.

Holistic Mock Tests

• Test window: 10 November – 20 December 2026
• There will be five full-length mock tests.
• The individual dates of the five Holistic Mock Tests will be announced separately.
• Students must attempt each Holistic Mock Test according to its announced schedule and availability window.

Important: The five Holistic Mock Tests will follow a fixed schedule. Students should check the announced dates and login instructions carefully to avoid missing a test.
